To see or not to see?

I learned one thing from watching "Hamlet 2": my friend Kyle doesn't have a very good sense of humor! He loved this movie while I could barely stay awake.
It just didn't work for me. More jokes fell flat than generated laughter. It makes no sense; I normally love this type of humor. But how can you compete with "Waiting for Guffman", even if the similarities are minimal?
I guess the inconsistent tone was more apparent in "Hamlet 2". I got the feeling some basic storytelling fundamentals were forgotten. It didn't flow for me.
Sorry. From the looks of the average rating, I'm missing the boat. But I'll be content not boarding that sinking ship.
