I don't understand why "Rendition" was so universally panned upon its theatrical release. I thought it was quite good.
However, it's another one of those political movies that makes me mad. Where do you draw the line between protecting our country and torturing innocent people? The answer seems so simple when you're watching, but for the first time, I sort of understood both sides. This compounded the frustration.
Anyway, as a movie, it was effective with some good acting. I can actually stomach Reese Witherspoon in small, dramatic roles such as in this and in "Crash".
Skin Rating = 3.5 (out of 4). I don't really want to be looking at skin in a movie like this. However, Jake Gyllenhaal shirtless. I'm speechless.
