"Shutter" was the best J-Horror film I've seen in a while.
Although utilizing the over-familiar formula of scorned-spirit-haunting-through-technology, this one at least seems a little more clever than most. And I really liked the ending. Not necessarily a twist, it was unexpected and quite clever.
This one also seemed to focus a little more on story and less on atmosphere, although it was plenty creepy. It certainly moved along at a much better pace than most "Asian Extreme" offerings.
Had to watch this one before I saw the U.S. remake; refer to that review for the comparison.
