Just got back from a drive-in double bill Dark Knight Rises with Ted. I had read all the reviews for TDKR the morning after the midnight screening just to see what people in general were saying and i was actually shocked on alot didnt seem to like the final instalment of Nolan's Batman trilogy however this didn't detour me from seeing it. Alot of folks out there said it wasn't The Dark Knight didn't think it was supposed to be it's the 3rd installment with a whole new evil villain (Bane played brilliantly by Tom Hardy) What director Chris Nolan gives us is a damn good follow up to it. TDKR starts a little slow but that's not long as it garners speed as it goes. Clocking in at a little over 3hrs it doesnt seem like that as it flies with intensity (like most of nolan's films do) Without delivering any spoilers for anyone who has not yet seen the film the ending left me with a lot of unanswered questions Will there be a 4th instalment? (Even though Nolan swears this is it) and if so will Nolan once again direct? The cheif villain Bane is yet another true to life scary and insane villain (played with scary intsensity by Hardy) I have to say i chuckled on similarities between his voice and the great Sean Connery.
Back again for this instalment are Batman regulars Alfred(Micheal Caine) Lucious Fox (Morgan Freeman) the always great Gary Oldman (Comissioner Gordon) and of course Bruce Wayne/The Batman (Christian Bale) Joinin the reg cast are newbies John Blake (Joseph Gordon Levitt) and Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) For all of you out there who worship Nolan's Batman as i do ignore the suth sayers and go see it for your own eyes cause you just might not get another chance!
