Cheverolet SS makes up for a dull flick

One of my least favorite Tom Cruise movies, however loved the car he drove er stole in this. Ahhh yesss the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS made this often boring film worthwhile in my books with a good couple of car chases to boot. Ok the movie wasn't bad i just thought it would be so much more then what was offered expecially after seeing the kickass trailer that was brought out for it last year. Still love Cruise to death as he remains in my top 10 fave actors of all time list, something i dont fore see changing unless maybe i watch 3 or more duds like this back to back but his filmography, aside from a few duds here and there, is quite good.
Tom portrays title charector Jack Reacher who is a rogue attourney gone awol from the world who reappears after an ex miltary sniper goes ballistic one day and takes out 5 people randomly...yes they catch him and he wont speak to anyone upon interrogation only slides his appointed attourney a lil sticky note that reads 'Get Jack Reacher'. Hence Jack just shows up so to speak and starts to assist the sniper's appointed attourney and finding out if the 5 random people that were killed wern't actually very random.
I have yet to read any of Lee Child's books of the Jack Reacher charector however now i'm thinking now that i know he is an atourney not like a ex navy seal or something like that which originally i thought he was and what drew me closer to watching this flick in the first place aside from Cruise's star power alone. I want to pick up a few of these novels..maybe if a sequel comes to the big screen in the next couple of years i might get into it more?
Even though Cruise is too small to portray a serious action hero i still swear he can get it done. A few fights within this film prove that immediatly. The film like i said is lacking something i just cant put my finger on.
