Seen better films from cast involved!!

We will start this review by saying that I have seen better films from both Wahlberg and Crowe! The storyline here was alright but nothing to write home about let's put it that way. Director Allen Hughes who usually works alongside his brother Albert, works solo on this project and maybe that's why this project was sometimes majorly lackluster at times as many of the directing projects he has done with his brother such as Menace II Society, Dead Presidents and From Hell all films with riveting storylines.
This film is about an private investigator who used to be a Nypd cop who now runs his own business taking photos of people who have hired him in compromising positions with others then their spouses. Billy Taggart (Wahlberg) ends up getting hired by New York mayor Nicholas Hostetler (Russell Crowe) as he wants Billy to find out who his wife Cathleen (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is having an affair with as he speculates she is. He offers him $50,000 if he agrees as to which he does as his private business is failing financially, which really leaves him no choice in the matter.
It's not long before Taggart finds out the real reason he wants his wife tailed and it's not for what we think. Taggart has to decide whether to squash the much needed money and do what it is that is right.
Like I said it's not a bad flick although I have seen better.
