I love movies having to do with the mafia in any genre. That being said, I was looking forward to "The Family". It has this beautiful cast where everyone pulls their weight. There was not one character I didn't enjoy. The problem with this movie is that it has no idea what kind of movie it wants to be. It's torn between being a dark comedy and a trauma drama; with a little action thrown in. They had so much to work with but it suffers from poor direction.
