The best sci-fi/horror movie ever

People, let's get this straight. This is one of the greatest sci-fi/horror movies ever made. The perfect cast, incredible design, right measure of suspense... The monster is rarely seen and it is quick, deadly and intelligent for the first time. A perfect killing machine with only one goal. Claustrophobic atmosphere of no escape contributes a lot. Some critics mentioned "Planet of the Vampires" by Mario Bava as a major influence. Personally, I find it interesting that Veronica Cartwright (Lambert) played a little girl in Hitchcock's "Birds".
All the sequels are good in their own way, but this one is a masterpiece of a true master, Ridley Scott.
