Lose a Little Plot, Add Eye Candy!

Transformers (2007) was a major summer blockbuster hit. Not only did the CGI visuals and effects blow everyone away, but helped rekindle the flame of a lost classic series. I've always been I fan of the Transformers, I have. I remember even when I was younger I was amazed by the television series, and loved it very much. Transformers (2007) really best fitted what I'd call an homage.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is hyped as if were about to experience a Michael Bay sci-fi masterpiece, opposite to Nolan's newly birthed and critically acclaimed Batman series. Revenge of the Fallen is an average sci-fi sequel that contains loads of metal-clashing action, but little logical plot. This movie can be easily brought to a verdict. Is it a compliment? Or is it a vague insult? Transformers 2 is simply, and flat out Awesome eye candy. The only reason it could pose as an insult, is because I did not mention it's fantastic plot! Well if it had one. The plot bombs. Practically ruins the movie. And this is why Revenge of The Fallen can only be merely deemed, an average sequel.
Shia LaBeouf holds up well I guess, the acting wasn't too bad. Megan Fox? Pfft. I don't think it matters. Her acting could be bone dry and flat as shit, her drop-dead gorgeous looks would overcome. Many would agree with me I assume. The movie contains some of my favourites like Bumblebee (of course), and Starscream. It's also good to see some other favourites that didn't make an appearance in Transformers (2007).
The CGI effects and battles were amazing, the twins irritating, the sand-sucking monster jaw dropping, and the slapstick humor unnecessary. Revenge of the Fallen is a little dissapointing, but will prove very entertaining for those searching for a thrill. Surely Transformers 2 will grow on me each viewing more once it hits DVD and Blu-Ray.
If you saw the first film, go see this one, you'll probably enjoy it.
