This is not only the best movie i have seen so far in 2013, but it is the best by alot. This movie has many different aspects and parts to it, many more than a normal movie. It's pretty ambitious. Above all, it is funny. There is hardly a minute that goes by that the theater was not laughing, myself included. It's pretty craxy and out there but to me it all worked.
James Franco is beyond genius here playing an “version” of his unusual self. Steals the show, even shines brighter than Rogan who is hilarious in the lead.
Small scenes with Micheal Cera and Emma Watson are outstanding as well. Just very unique and well done. And the ending, Spoiler Alert***
if you don't want to know the ending don't read any further, features the Backstreet boys coming back together again, all 5 of them. If you are not famaliar with the Backstreet Boys, they were one of the biggest pop boy bands of the late 1990's- early 2000's. There were 5 members but a few years ago Kevin left the band. They have since continued as a group of 4. As far as i know Kevin has not come back for any songs or performances since leaving. So just for the ending sequence to this movie he comes back and all 5 perform together again. Bam!
