Mud was a movie i thought might be a little above average but I actually liked it more then that. It's one of my favorites of 2013. The plot has McConaughey character on the run and in hiding on an island. Two young boys, around 14 or 15 come to the island which is close to the small town they live in by boat just to explore it. They find a boat up in a tree, which they think is pretty cool but pretty soon they discover that someone is living in the boat when they find fresh food. After that they find Mud, and at first they are scared of him but soon they become friends and help him by bringing him food and supplies that he will need to try and get off the island. One of the things he wants to do is get back together with his ex-girlfriend, who is played by Reese Witherspoon. This hooks one of the boys in a little more because his parents are heading towards divorce so he doesn't want another couple to brake apart. They have to remain careful though because they don't know exactly who this man named Mud is.
