Good, but not quite as good as the original

This is a really good movie. I currently have it on number 14 out of the 24 movies that I have on my best of 2013 list. It fell just a bit short of the first Kick-ass to me, which i loved. Kick-ass and hit-girl were good, although I could have lived without Hit-girl trying to fit in and be a normal high school student for about half the movie. Jim Carrey's character, who I worried might be a distraction, was pretty good in a reasonably small role. Christopher Mintz-Plasse's character, the mother-fuc@er, was a bit to over the top for my liking. One of the things that I did like, they kept the score pretty consistent with the first Kick-ass movie. A good action movie, really good actually, it's funny, just not quite as good as the original. The original is so good though, that's a tough bar to live up to.
