With great power comes great responsibility.

I didn't like everything about this movie, but I liked most things. The one part that stood out was Aunt May's chant to Peter "You have to do the hardest thing - forgive yourself" (I'm paraphrasing here). I about cried. This was the first time I've ever heard a movie of any time talk to someone... no, no... SPEAK to someone about self-reliance and responsibility. I almost shouted a "Gone, girl" in the crowded movie theater. That one section won me over in the whole movie. On top of the darkness and revenge that crowded Peter Parker's mind, was the love of his dear Mary Jane. This was a real-life superhero movie devoid of the comic, quirky "you should do this" banter. I really liked it. But I understand that some may disagree. That's fine. Those folks are in a different mindset (see my Matrix reviews). But to tell you the truth, I really liked the story line in this one. I'm looking forward to more of Sam Raimi's films. 3.5 stars to you, Spider-Man 3, and good luck in the future.
