Scared the crap out of me. This was the first film I saw as a young person that let me know that my high degree did not keep me safe from folks out there that could tear me into pieces. Anthony Hopkins was super scary, lovable, and you could feel a bit (just a bit) sorry for him... actually, you might feel more sorry for the poor sapling that couldn't figure out that a man who looks at you crazy should not be approached within 10,000 feet. But, ah alas... that's what makes a good horror flick, right?
