Mrs. Flax moves to another town, once again, after yet another failed relationship. Her eldest daughter, Charlotte (Winona Ryder), wants to become a nun, but instead falls in love with the quiet church employee, Joe, who lives down the road from their new house.
I really enjoyed this movie, as Winona Ryder does a great performance. The movie can be quite funny, whilst Charlotte is trying to rid her mind of dirty thoughts about Joe, but it can also be sad, as I cried through lots of scenes.
Funniest Moment: When Charlotte licked Joes arm!
Teenagers are most likely to enjoy this movie, as it revolves around Charlotte, who is a young girl. But I really recommend you see it, if you haven't already, as it is interesting to hear about Charlottes worries, and what is going on in her mind.
Oh and how could I forget: Mermaids also started my love for Winona Ryder!
