The semi-original buddy cop film

Not the original "White/Black Buddy Cop" film, but probably the one that everything since then has modeled itself after. This is the clear inspiration for Rush Hour (1998). Eddie Murphy steals every scene that he's in, this is clearly his film where he made the leap from really good stand-up comedian/SNL actor, to "Movie Star." I rate this film as 2.5 stars because it's not that great of a film, but I also say, if you're a fan of any "buddy cop movie" since 1982, then you have to see this.
