Lost Boys 2: The Tribe

Having grew up in the 80's, the original Lost Boys movie made an impression. It is of its time but the film exceeds teen movie cliche by being charming, funny and cool, with one of the best intro songs of all time (Cry Little Sister by Sisters of Mercy). It had an atmosphere and feeling. Sadly, the sequel has none of these things going for it. The director P.J. Pesce clearly has no idea how to make a film. The script is dire, the acting laughable, and the scares cheap and uninventive. And the remoulding of the song, now with heavy guitars and miserable vocals, is terrifically terrible. Corey Feldman could have saved this movie but instead plays a macho fool with a grizzled voice and comes off as one of the worst characters in the whole movie. It has no end, and the Corey Haim post end credit sequence has no relevence to what came before it. Why did they bother? A horrible, tepid, and tedious movie.
