Terminator Salvation

In 1984 The Terminator gave birth to the action genre. In 1991 Terminator 2 became the best film of the action genre. With such high standards, Terminator 3 was bound to fail though it wasn't a complete disaster. Now with Terminator Salvation, its pretty much the same story. Its not a great film, nor a very good one, it just happens. Once its over, it leaves your brain. Mcg the director needed to have a decent story for this to be a great movie, but taking a step back from it, its easy to see the film doesn't progress the story in any way whatsoever. I wanted (and i'm sure everyone else wanted) to see how Kyle Reese came to be sent back to 1984, but instead we get a simple Men on a mission plotline that really has been seen many many times before. The only thing that makes it a Terminator movie are the character names and the machines. It quickly becomes dull, with none of the humour or electricity the first two carried with them. Its just wham bam thank you mam, get ready for the sequels and thats incredibly disappointing.
