Ferris Bueller's Day Off

John Hughes is no longer with us but his body of work will be seen again and again by his fans both old and new. Ferris Bueller is a great place to start. It's funny and clever and gives you a real anti hero to root for in its title character. He's a 'righteous dude' and Cameron his pal gives the film some emotional depth, especially in the third act. Kudos also to Jeffrey Jones for playing such a cartoonish buffoon. He really should have got his own show.
