Based on a book that is a fiction retelling of a true story. 'An American Crime' also covered this story, but from a standpoint closer to the actual events. While that film is good, I preferred this one more. I tend to gravitate toward this kind of harder edged material. It may not be easy to watch, but it's well worth it in the end.
