Pointless Expedition

Though, this is technically a 'prequel', it comes off as a bland rehash of the first film, but with different characters and happenings. There are a few good ideas that don't amount to anything and one scene in the middle of the film actually contains some tension. The CG monster is a drag. I felt detached the entire time. In the end, it's a pointless expedition.
