Mess of Ideas, Music and Images
Unknown - wrote on 12/19/11
A collage of ideas about life and the world around us that uses an assortment of beautifully photographed images and fantastic music to present them. However, I found the scenes regarding the relationship between the father and his sons to be the only interesting parts. This is a hard film to criticize, because it never felt like I was watching a film and I think that is what will turn most people off. The whole thing is not easy to digest and just feels all over the place, because it doesn't have a narrative and meanders throughout. It tries to come off as some important, sweeping epic, but it was just too boring at certain times.
