Harmless animated film, with good intentions. The humor's not consistant and none of the human characters are interesting, save for the science teacher (who is underused). Sparky, the dog, is the saving grace. There is much meandering in the middle and the ending just desolves into a bunch of routine homages, and recreations, of scenes from classic horror/sci-f films. There is a message about letting go of your pets, but it's lost amidts the confusion and the final moments feel like a cop-out.
