'Dallas Buyers Club' presents two of the best performances of the year. McConaughey gives his single best acting effort and Leto disappears into another unrecognizable supporting role. Both are mesmerizing. The rest of the film is solid. It's a raw representation of a true tale that instills hopefulness when faced with a terrible situation. There is a strong feeling of want for Woodroof to fight the system and his not-so-legal accomplishment is still commendable for the fact that it's done for just reasons of equality.
