Unexpectedly good thriller in the vein of Hitchcock. 'Grand Piano' is tightly wound, fast paced, and has a short runtime. All of these factors aid in the film's success to sustain it's tension throughout. The life-or-death dilemma coincides with the main character's piano skills to create a mounting pressure that flows evenly between the music and the action. The story is so precise and contained, leaving no room for plot holes amidst a premise that could've easily become ludicrous. I was impressed and entertained.
