Fiennes and Cronenberg are great, as always. I like the way in which the main character actively relives his past by watching it unfold and then eventually crossing it with present day. My only problem is with the story itself. I didn't feel his traumas as a kid were all that significant as to make him turn out the way he did. I mean, the kid is still mentally sound (despite being vengeful) by the end. It ultimately left me wanting more, considering how damaged Fiennes' performance is.
