'Fury' is Ferocious

'Fury' is one of the best war films I've seen in a long time. Half of the reasoning is due to the non-typical story. It's a small, intimate piece centering on the efforts of one team. Five terrific actors lay claim to honest camaraderie. Together, they become one unstoppable force. Impactful drama surfaces progressively. The dialogue does away with the usual cliched speeches. There's no preaching, flag-waving, or 'anti' messages to be found. This is all about the human qualities. The other half that shines is the intense close quarters combat. It's filmed so precisely, with the intent of giving the viewer the full experience. I felt excitement and fear to the point where hearing gunfire or explosions would automatically put me on edge. The tensity holds and the movie completely entertains.
