Three small vignettes are shown to have been taking place at the same time and all ending in one hotel. The more real-life presentation comes off mundane, in part to the blandness of the characters. Some small moments have an individualistic charm about them, while certain stretches just plod along. The hotel owner and his lobby boy provide the most interesting bits through their very subdued comedy style. The Memphis setting is well used. Feels like you could find your way around this particular neighborhood after watching this film. This is the cinematic equivalent to being a tourists. You see some lesser sights in a small place as you pass on to your real destination.
