'Wild Tales' certainly lives up to it's title. This collection of short stories shows people lashing out when pushed to their extremes. Basically a bunch of 'what if' scenarios that most would keep to their own imaginations rather than act out. These individuals have no problem doing so, and that makes it all the more funny. Some crazy situations go down, my favorite being two men fighting to the death over shared road rage. Most of the segments escalate quickly into darkly hilarious places. Two segments in the middle, while good on their own, don't quite measure up to the overboard nature of the rest of the bunch. They are a bit longer and come in the middle of the film, slowing things down just a tad. However, it ends on a bombastic note with probably the best of the shorts that involves the most awesomely awkward and disastrous wedding reception.
