Wrestling's 'Saint'?

'The Masked Saint' is yet another poorly made Christian film that is an ill-concieved sermon in disguise. They are all the same. This one at least has a slightly more interesting premise in the main character being a former wrestler turned preacher who secretly returns to wrestling to raise money for his new church. The guy is a way better wrestler than a preacher. He basically preaches about... uh... just being kind. Ya know, all while he wrestles for entertainment every night and even becomes a vigilante beating up bad guys on the streets. Oh, it plays out as stupid as it sounds. I don't have to tell you that this is the same terribly written, directed, and acted crap that is in almost all of these niche low-budget Christian flicks. The 'good' characters have questionable morals and their problems get solved for them because of faith, and the 'bad' characters are overly cartoony weirdos who become good guys with the flip of a switch for no reason at all. Add in some really stupid dialogue and hokey acting and you've got an unintentional comedy all the way through. I wouldn't be as harsh on these kind of movies if they weren't so boring and/or annoying. I will say that this one is not offensive or frustrating to those outside of it's audience, like say last year's hate-inducing 'War Room'. The wrestling was the highlight, but even that was handled poorly.
