Long setup gives way to a taut character drama with a sneaky agenda. Watching Winstead and Orser's scenes is quite captivating. The direction slowly draws us into these people. I didn't realize I was watching a twisting thriller until past the halfway point. The twist finale was well worth effort. Odd things I noticed earlier made total sense and nothing had to be outright explained. Feels refreshing to see such a component small film utilize a smart story to full potential.
