Upon first viewing this 1984 cult classic, I was repulsed, appaled, excited, and thrilled, and a bit heart warmed. It's hard for a film to give me all those reactions! Its idiocy at it's most glorious! Topped off with the decadence of the early 80s. The toxic avenger is a product of the twisted, maniacal, yet brilliant mind of director Lloyd Kaufman. It is to this day one of my favorite movies. I believe Melvin junko I one of the greatest unsung screen heroes in the history of not only cult cinema, but mainstream cinema as well. Bravo Troma, bravo
