Subtle Thai horror.

A haunting Thai tale, this is a horror film that relies more on character development and subtlety than on bloodiness or jump scares. The film is almost a coming of age story in a sense and comments on the effects of loneliness and isolation. This movie is more haunting than scary, but it still gives us an effective and even emotional ghost story. As the viewer you definitely develop empathy for the lead character and his emotional landscape which gives depth to everything that happens once the supernatural element comes in to play. This is definitely one of the standout films from Thailand and deserves some recognition from those who love horror. Still, its not limited to that genre and also works as a drama as well. As long as you go in with the right mindset you won't be disappointed.
