Points for cinematography, but the rest is putrid.
A schmaltzy script. One way to know if the story is any good is to watch it on a smaller screen. The first time I watched it, oddly enough, was on a plane heading to LA. All I remember thinking is "what is all the buzz about?"
Then, I had to watch this movie get more Academy Awards than a truly great movie in The Green Mile.
Watch this on a DVD on a normal screen and you will realize that were it not for the images, the acting and the script stunk.
