Although I wasn't spreading AIDS at this age, I was drinking, screwing, and drugging to the equivalency or beyond the actions in this movie. I love shock cinema, and this one did it for me. Written by Harmony Korin, the under-genius of Bully, Gummo and Julien Donkey Boy, it delves into the depravity of teenagers without supervision. I had a friend who refused to have sex due to what happens in this movie. For a film to do this, there must be something powerful in it or he's just a dumbass. The sex scenes border on pedophilia but I was more disgusted by the wiener on screen in El Topo. Some people claim this isn't a true portrayal of Urban living at this age. It definitely is for some. If you haven't seen it, give it a shot. Don't let a critic or reviewer curb you interest in movies like this, you will be hurting your cinephile knowledge by not seeing everything possible that has been committed to film. (Actually, listen to a reviewer this one time)
