A Fun Time

I went into this movie a little skeptical of how funny it would be. My friend was very excited to see the movie, he insisted on seeing it on Wednesday when it opened and his feverish excitement put me off a little bit. I thought the trailer looked ab it funny but did not look like anything special.
Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised with this movie, I found it had me laughing quite a bit throughout the movie. I would say it was of the funniest movies I have seen in quite a while. I also saw "Step Brothers" recently and this movie trounced it easily (although I did enjoy Step Brothers). The action is fun and nicely done, it is a great throw back to some great 80s movies. If you are not into "stoner" comedy you may not enjoy it that much, but you do not have to be a big fan of that genre to really enjoy this movie. Franco does a fantastic job as the goofy dealer and pairs well with Rogen.
After "Superbad" and this I'm looking forward to some more collaborations between Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
