Perverse in tone, though not of tongue, this moving and hilarious musical comedy is one for the history books. John Adams, played expertly by Mr. Feeney (William Daniels), goes around in his obnoxious and disliked state in order to rally for the cause of independence from Britain. A great satire and rowdy, beautiful music shape the inner workings of this great cinematic gem.
