A cinematic as well as a literary classic, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is a driven film, asking the audience to believe in a world of sanity when all there is around you is insanity. A brilliant performance (one of almost every single one) by Jack Nicholson, as well as a wonderful supporting cast brings about some of cinema's most memorable moments. What strikes me so plaintively about this film is the fact that even the villain has redemptive qualities and much of the film is spent in dealing with the fact that both protagonist and antagonist positions are held by both leading characters. A wonderful gem of a flick.
