A beautiful story of ethics in the Great Depression that is founded both on personal qualities concerning racism and law as well as the exploration of what is acceptable in the entirety of a person's soul. Harper Lee's story is told in one of the best screen adaptations out there and is quite possibly one of the most hauntingly frightening stories ever told. A great performance by Gregory Peck, this is Oscar gold and something that can never again be retold.
