The Dark Knight not a 5 course meal for me!

I have been waiting to see this movie for weeks and finally I got my wish. I love the new direction the batman films have gone in. Batman begins, began this transition that should have happened years ago.
The old films where very comic book like, bright colored costumes and pyrotechnics. Very cheesy when you look back over the years but never the less they where all good movies in their own right accept Batman and Robin which everyone will agree was terrible.
Heath Ledger plays a fantastic Joker and the introduction of Aaron Eckhart as two face left me frothing at the mouth ready for the next installment. I felt so gratified because after seeing two face in Batman forever I now understood his character and what motivated his anger.
If I'm honest this film is a great film with a great cast, but.... there was just something missing for me. I thought I would have loved it but unfortunately I didn't. It was like ordering a five course meal and being given a mini pizza instead. There was just a niggling feeling I couldn't explain.
My advise is go and watch it..... You'll love it or hate it.
