This movie might be ahead of its time in regards to its themes like wildlife conservation but it's surprisingly talky and slow-moving for a safari flick. Trevor Howard is good in the role and Errol Flynn gives a decent performance that may be a little too self-deprecating (he plays a disgraced drunkard).
