Like most of Tyler Perry's work, The Single Moms Club relies heavily on his own tried-and-true formula of familial dysfunction and non-sequitur based humor. It's a pleasant change of pace from the stereotyping associated with African-American comedy movies. The cast is decent and it's at a breezy pace.
