Z for Zachariah final grade? B and that's OK.

I last read the book in middle school and there are changes from the original story. First off it's much more of a love story because there's a third character (Chris Pine) who did not exist in the book. Still, Z for Zachariah was pretty good. It's a lean hour and a half and gets the job done without overstaying its welcome. Margot Robbie is good in the role of Ann, a lone survivor of a post apocalyptic American town who is joined by a wandering scientist (Chiwetel Ejiofer). His mechanical expertise thanks to his scientific background and her resilience due to her strong Christian faith makes them a good team with some underlying romantic tension. So what do you think happens when a THIRD survivor played by Chris Pine shows up? Exactly what you'd expect. Unlike other post-apocalyptic films which have zombies, natural disasters, and big chase sequences, Z for Zachariah is a smaller more personal story which works just fine.
