As the FilmCrave plot outline perfectly sums it up: tanks replace horses, but the treachery is timeless. Richard III is no longer just an evil wannabe king, he's the Shakespearean equivalent of Adolf Hitler too for good measure! Ian McKellen is having a blast as the diabolical Richard III. The all star cast play their roles well. The update to the play's setting to a Fascist 1930s is beautifully realized and gives this already unique adaptation more style to boast.
