This is the movie that Batman versus Superman: Dawn of Justice SHOULD have been but BVS;DOJ should have been BETTER than Captain America: Civil War. But here we are and Civil War is perhaps the best superhero sequel since the Dark Knight eight years ago. The action is fucking phenomenal. What people have seen in the commercials is a fraction of what actually happens. The airport battle alone is the best action scene in a comic-book movie ever made. What the Russo brothers do to balance out the action, the drama, the humor, and the heart of their superhero movies needs to be studied by every other film maker trying to NOT be Zack Snyder. It continues to build and expand upon the Marvel Cinematic Universe while taking risks that feel earned instead of exploitative. I'm all the more excited for the future of these characters and where the MCU is going.
