A spectacular score by Jerry Goldsmith and beautiful scenery cannot save this often boring melodrama about jungle scientists racing to find a cure for cancer. Sean Connery is interesting but Lorraine Bracco was severely miscast and ends up whiny and petulant. Its best moments are whenever the characters venture into the canopy and zipline through the trees.
