Cobra Verde begins with a great opening. A vengeful farmer (Kinski) becomes a bandit and later journeys to Africa to become a feared slave trader. The sets and location shots are great. Kinski is great at making his often quite villainous protagonist nevertheless interesting. But the story is honestly boring and just wanders.
