An older Stewart Granger plays an English mercenary in 16th century Spain who foils villains and romances the ladies. Naturally. The stunts and swordplay are both good and the costumes looks quite nice. Though the film does feel tired given Granger's apparent age. The climactic horse race is quite thrilling.
