A brooding and action packed anime about a samurai protecting a child from nefarious villains. Plenty of heroic bloodshed moments and impressive fight scenes. The friendship between the stoic antihero and the boy sidekick does lead to some touching scenes of character development. But the villains' plot is pretty convoluted and the rest of the cast isn't given much development.
