This comedy-drama aims to be heartfelt, sincere, and poignant. But it winds up a sappy melodrama that turns its likable cast into entitled whiners. Key, Jacobs, Micucci, Birbiglia, and Sagher are great together. It's too bad it winds up more formulaic than I'm sure it wants to be seen as such.
